• Identifying key points/themes and making effective notes
• Understanding the assignment brief or question
• Creating plans, mind maps, and bullet-point lists to help organise research materials, ideas and structure assignments
• Memory and concentration skills
Note-taking in lectures and seminars
• Effective note taking strategies to follow lectures/ teaching sessions and identifying key points
• Organising and structuring notes produced during teaching sessions
• Using a range of strategies such as mind mapping and diagrams to make effective notes
• Enhance notes using additional, research materials, class hand-outs or recordings made with a recording device
